How to prevent heat treatment deformation in the third production line of spiral duct fan?

Jan 01, 2022

1. Reasonable material selection: For the third line of complex duct production, micro-deformed die steel (such as air-hardened steel) should be selected. For the third line of duct production with severe carbide segregation, reasonable forging and quenching and tempering heat treatment should be carried out. Die steel that cannot be forged can be solid-solution double-refining heat treatment.

2. The design of the three-line structure of the air duct production should be reasonable, the thickness should not be too large, the shape should be symmetrical, the deformation law should be mastered for the larger deformed mold, and the processing allowance should be reserved. For large, precise and complex molds, a combined structure can be used.

3. On the premise of mold hardness, try to use pre-cooling, hierarchical cooling quenching or warm quenching process.

4. For the third line of air duct production, if conditions permit, try to use vacuum heating quenching and cryogenic treatment after quenching.

5. Pre-heat treatment of complex molds will result in residual stress generated during machining.

6. Pre-heat treatment, aging heat treatment, and tempering and nitriding heat treatment can be used to control the precision of the mold for some third-line production lines of air ducts.

7. When repairing defects such as blisters, pores, and abrasion in the third-line production of air ducts, use cold welders and other repair equipment with low thermal impact to avoid deformation during the repair process.
